The RIDGID 690-I-NPT-KIT (44923) Hand-Held Power Drive for Pipe Threading, with 1/2" to 2" NPT Die Heads, 1020 W, 115V/12A, is a double insulated drive that provides power for threading pipe and conduit. It is designed to use RIDGID 11-R Drop Head Die Heads (1/8 in. to 2 in. pipe). Forward and Reverse rotation can be selected with a slide switch, while ON/OFF is controlled by a two-step momentary contact switch.

The 690-I Power Drive uses a die head retaining system: a quick turn will unlock the 1 1/2" and 2" die heads, while a simple twist will release the die head adapter.

The 690-I Power Drive is lightweight and portable for maintenance, repair and service plumbers. It is built with screw-in brush covers to improve serviceability. The power drive can also withstand demanding jobsite conditions, since it is built with a durable die cast gear housing and fiberglass reinforced plastic body. The dual "V" jaw support arm firmly prevents slipping, while the over molded handle and contoured grip provide optimal control.
